1: SJCAM S6 Legend It is one of the most popular cameras on a budget. The S6 legend uses a Novatek 96660 processor which can shoot Videos at non-native 4k @ 24 FPS, it also shoots 2K @ 30fps and 1080 FHD 1920*1080 @ 60fps. The camera shoots slow motion 120 FPS @ 720P. The maximum photo resolution offered is 16 MP and the image is captured in RAW format which is definitely a plus point. The camera supports MOV/MP4 format and offers gyro image stabilization. The price of the camera is around Rs 10,000.
The battery life of the camera is indicated as 130 mins but in the real-world condition, it is expected to last for 100 minutes. The camera uses a 1050 mah battery and its weight is around 84 grams. The stabilization in the camera is decent enough for motovlogging but not for extreme outdoor activities like parkour or stunting.
The camera has enough features for Beginner and Intermediate creators. You can shoot semi-professional videos with this camera. It, however, can’t be used as your primary camera due to its inability to shoot in native 4k.
2: SJCAM S7 Star This model of SJCAM uses Ambarella A12 chipset coupled with a Sony IMX117 sensor. The S7 Star can shoot videos in native 4K @ 30 FPS and 2k @60 FPS. The camera can capture images in RAW and JPEG format and videos in MP4 and MOV format. The S7 star also comes with a Gyro Sensor. Maximum photo resolution is however only 12 MP but it is light in weight as compared to S6 Legend and offers a metal body. The camera also offers remote control through a wristwatch for ultra still shots.

This camera is good for intermediate and advanced level users. It can also be used as a primary camera due to its good video stabilization and native 4k shooting ability. The camera uses a 1050 mah battery which in real-world condition will last about 90 minutes. The price of SJCAM S7 Star is around Rs 15,000.
3: YI 4K Action Camera The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi’s YI 4K cam offers "Go-pro" level performance with a fraction of its price. It has a good internal microphone and can shoot 4k @30 FPS, 1080P @120 FPS and 720P @240 FPS. The camera offers Ambarella A9SE75 Chip along with Sony IMX377 Image Sensor. The camera uses Electronic image stabilization (EIC). It offers decent low-light support but a big 1400 mah battery.
The image stabilization is not as good as gyro image stabilizers but with a Gimble that can be solved. Unlike other SJCAM models, this camera doesn’t come with all of its accessories and it is available in India only through Amazon, which charges import duties. The camera also offers phone connectivity so you can edit your photos and videos on the go.
The camera is on par or even better than S7 star due to its Sony sensor and big battery life. Just like S7 star it can be used by intermediates and advanced users alike.
4: SJCAM S8 PRO: The newly launched S8 Pro offer 4k @ 60 FPS, courtesy of the AMBARELLA H22 Chipset. It also offers 8X digital zoom. S8 Pro also features a 170-degree wide angle lens and 2 microphones for better image and sound capturing. The gyro stabilization offers six-axis stability making this camera perfect for extreme motorsports. The sensor used in the camera is SONY IMX377 which allows easy 4k video and RAW image capture. S8 Pro also offers phone connectivity for instant media sharing. The battery of the camera is 1200 mah, which gives it a battery life of 90 minutes. It costs Rs 29,000 and offers enough features for a professional video shoot.
5: GoPro HERO 6: It is the most rugged and sought after Action camera out there. The image stabilization and 4k video capturing are flawless on HERO 6. This new model of the Go Pro features an all-new GP1 chip for stable image and video shoots. HERO 6 is waterproof, even without the casing, up to a depth of 10 m. It can take photos in RAW and also features HDR for better colour enhancement. The camera is also voice control for various of its features. Go Pro offers professional level video and image quality and is easily the most advanced action camera on the planet. It retails for Rs 32,000.
