Gixxer”. Suzuki Gixxer is priced at Rs. 79809(on road, Delhi) and you can book your Gixxer by paying as less as Rs 3000. Though the bike is not yet officially launched and only bookings are open we managed to take First Ride of Suzuki Gixxer Exclusively.
It was all white standing in the white background that made me notice blue one behind it. We clicked few shots and then we were offered the ride. The triangular headlamp, small tank cowls and the chiseled rear with stylish Grabrails have all the attention to detail. The switchgears are neat and the single piece dual Exhaust muffler adds muscle to already muscular bike. The flexible and unbreakable indicator stalks are good for Indian riding scenario. Performance and Transmission:
The motorcycle comes equipped with 154.9cc SOHC SEP motor which churns out 14.1 Ps of Power at 8000 Rpm and 14 Nm of Torque at 6000 Rpm. The Gixxer comes mated to 5 speed gearbox. The gearbox and engine are really smooth and what you’ll love the most is the engine redlines with ease and grace. The short gearing help you to reach numbers really fast. Power is available throughout the Rev range and we were able to touch 94 kmph indicated on Speedo in 4th gear. The most exciting part though is the exhaust note, it’ll make you fall in love with it. And the icing on the cake is the rev-happy motor. But, after the 7500 Rpm slight Rev lag is felt. Brakes, Ergo, Handling & Built-Quality:
As far as braking is concerned, the front disc brake setup from Bybre offers good bite and the rear drum brake are let down but does not ruin the things in a bad way. The meaty rubber is all set to blaze a fire among theYamaha FZ riders. The Meter Console is all Digital and the LCD unit displays the Clock, Tacho, Speedo, Odo, Fuel gauge, Gear indicator and looks like a PSP more or less. The flat handlebars and the rear set foot pegs make you sit in the bike and ask you to lift your rear wheel up every time you brake hard. As it was really a small Test Ride within the a perimeter of 2kms we’ll be coming with a long Comprehensive Test Ride Review soon. Till then wait and keep checking the pace at BikesIndia.org
