Bajaj has silently launched the awaited Discover 150S, the bike was made available at the showrooms but since the official launch of the new Discover 150S is still due the details of the bikes were kept secret from rest of the world, BikesIndia became first auto website in India to break the ice and revealing the Technical Specifications of the Discover 150F with the evidence. After the details of Discover 150S revealed now it is evident to compare the bike with the potential competitors. We found Honda Cb Unicorn and recently launched Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 as closest competitors to the Discover 150S, lets compare the features of the the three contenders from the 150cc class.
Instrument Cluster and Switch Gears:

In this department Yamaha FZ-S proved its worth with the best Japanese quality switch gears & smart Digital Instrument cluster, there is a tie between the Honda Unicorn and Discover 150S for the second place as Honda Unicorn is now started looking old with the plane analog instrument console and the age old switch gears, tough the quality of Honda is much better then Bajaj but this time Bajaj is also raised its bar a little as far as plastic quality and overall finish is concerned.

In design and styling department Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 is class apart with Honda CB Unicorn coming next with its now dated style which is still feels younger then the new Bajaj Discover 150S.

Honda Unicorn comes last in this department.
Engine, Transmission and performance:

Coming to the Engine, Honda used to have the most refined engines and Unicorn is not the exception but Yamaha is never behind any of the manufacturers in Engine quality, the new Fuel injected FZ-S is buttery smooth with linear power delivery but Bajaj Discover 150S is the most powerful bike amongst all of them at least on papers, we will comment on the power delivery of Bajaj Discover 150S after we take detailed Test Ride of it.

Pricing:

The Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 is the most expensive bike amongst all as it is priced at Rs.78,250 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Where as Honda Unicorn is second most expensive bike of all and is available at Rs.64,638 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Bajaj Discover is considered as the cheapest 150cc bike available in our country if we believe those who have already received the delivery of the bike, however the official word will come on the pricing of the Discover 150S when it will be launched officially on 11th Aug'14.
