The new 2016 Ktm RC390 will be manufactured at the KTM’s Indian facility at Pune. The model showcased at the EICMA is recently spotted at the Ktm’s facility in India in its production ready attire. It is expected that the new 2016 RC 390 will be out in the market by early next year. Let’s check it out what Ktm has to offer in their updated RC 390. Style and Design:
The updated 2016 RC 390 is almost identical in styling and design, there is not even any color variation or any different graphics featured on the bike. However, the eye catching addition to the updated RC390 is its upswept exhaust. KTM has finally decided to replace the underbelly exhaust with lightweight aluminum exhaust can. The stubby exhaust canister is very neatly deigned and also given a trapezoidal tail end. Now with the new exhaust we can also expect a subdued and softer exhaust note instead of the sharp notes coming from the underbelly exhaust counterpart.
Keeping the rest of the design of 2016 RC 390 same, Ktm had to change the lower fairing to accommodate the upswept exhaust. Now the lower fairing has contoured slots to fit in the clutch assembly, which now exposed along with the exhaust pipe. Engine and Transmission:
The new 2016 KTM RC390 is equipped with same 373.2cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine churning out hefty 44 Ps of power and 35 Nm of torque. The powerful short stroke mill of 2016 RC 390 will be mated to 6-speed transmission gear, but this time the updated 2016 RC390 is featured with advanced race inspired Slipper Clutch as we have already seen on the Duke 390.
