TVS has given naked street fighter looks with minimal fairing in Apache RTR200 4V, it has a sporty muscular tank which relates to the Apache series of motorcycles. The bike has got some first time features like Split seats, Mono-shock at rear, a fully Digital Console which displays a lot of information like Service Due Reminder, Lap Timer, Speedometer at the middle of console, Gear Position Indicator, a Digital Clock, Tachometer at the top and an Odometer. The headlight looks meaner and will give you a glace of Apache motorcycles currently on sale, the headlight looks good from the side but looks broad from front, many may find this unpleasant. The headlight also has LED DRLs which add to its looks. The new Apache RTR 200 4V looks meaner and refreshing. Power and Features
The Apache RTR 200 4V comes in two variants- Carbureted and Fuel Injected. The Apache RTR200 4V is powered by 197.75 cc single cylinder, 4-stroke, 4 valve, oil-cooled engine and will generate power of 20.22bhp @8500rpm and torque of 18.1Nm @7000 rpm, the Fuel-injected version will carry slightly more power of 20.7bhp @ 8500rpm while the torque remains the same in both versions. The new Apache has got 5 speed gearbox which is a let down as its competitors has 6 speed transmission. TVS has claimed the new Apache RTR 200 4V can achieve a top speed of 127kmph for the carbureted version and 129kmph for the fuel injected version. It is also claimed that the new Apache can do 0-60 in 3.95 seconds and 0-100 in 12 seconds, sounds interesting right?
The Apache RTR200 4V is equipped with regular telescopic front forks but has mono-shock at rear. The bike carries a double cradle split synchro stiff frame and 17 inch alloys wheels. There are tubeless tyres with 90/90-17 at front and 130/70-17 at rear profile. The Apache RTR200 4V is also featured with unique and odd-looking double barrel exhaust and it weighs 140 kgs (kerb). The carbureted version is priced at INR 88,990 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Fuel-injected version will carry a price of INR 1,0,8000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The ABS will not be offered as of now but TVS will launch it soon with Fuel-injected engine and Pirelli tyres with a price tag of INR 1.15 lakhs. TVS will provide two options for the tyre -TVS Remora compound tyres and Pirelli tyres.
