Styling:
The style and design of new CB Unicorn 160 is conservative and it is clearly distinguished as Unicorn. However the entire bike is redesigned keeping the old charm of Unicorn, the bike has new front headlight with redesigned bikini fairing. The fuel tank is also redesigned and it is more muscular than before, which is also accompanied by the sharp side cowls. The tail assembly is also sharper this time with "H" shaped LED tail light. The clear lens blinkers are welcome, the exhaust is also revamped, it is bulkier than before and looks good in matte black color. Engine & performance:
The new Honda CB Unicorn 160 has all new 162.71cc air cooled, 4-stroke engine. The newly developed engine looks pretty big with its protruded air fins. The new engine is characterized by its "Long Stroke" hence it is capable to produce best in class 14.6 Nm of Torque with 14.5 Bhp of Power output. The engine is featured with HET technology and Honda is claiming the Fuel efficiency of 62 Kmpl.
Stability & Comfort:
The bike is featured with longest wheelbase in its class, aiding to the stability of the bike. The high raised handle bar gives the upright seating posture perfect for all day commute, the handle bar is wider this time with weight balancers put at the extreme ends. The brakes department is been taken care by up front 240mm disc and 130mm rear drum. Though there is no option of rear disc brakes the Honda patented CBS (Combi Brakes System) comes as an option for better braking experience. Instrument Console & Switchgears:
Honda has come up with all new digital meter which is a welcome step and they have done pretty well with the meter console. But as far as switchgears are concerned it is direct lift-up from Trigger and there is nothing exciting abut it. The much talked about Engine Kill Switch is still missing in the New Unicorn as well. Colors & Variants:
The new Honda CB Unicorn 160 comes in 4 vibrant colors: Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Black, Geny Grey Metallic and Sunbeam White and is available for sale in two different variants: Standard and CBS. The Standard variant of new Unicorn will be available at Rs 69350 and you have to shell out Rs 74414 for the CBS variant both prices are Ex- Showroom, Delhi. Honda has finally updated the age old Unicorn with new 162.71cc engine and few modern features like all digital meter console and Combi Brakes System (CBS). However it is proved to be pure Unicorn updation rather than an all new 160cc bike as it was expected from Honda. But even an Unicorn updation is considered as soul consoling as it was due for a long time.
