Hero Maestro Edge has almost similar styling like its predecessor but Maestro Edge is offered with tweaked body with a new LED taillights, front fender, dual-tone mirrors,etc. Maestro edge has sharp edges and lines which makes it look good and justifies its name. It also gets redesigned exhaust pipe, good looking digital-analog instrument console, ample storage with a 12 inch front wheel. There are 5 spoke all black alloy wheels featured on the Edge which are devoid of front disc brake. There are provision of only drum brakes at both the wheels, however, it is likely that Hero will come up with optional front disc brake as the scooter is suspended on sturdy front telescopic suspensions.
The new Maestro Edge also features a USB charging port, which is situated under the seat. There is class leading under seat storage capacity which makes the Maestro Edge a further more practical unisex auto gear scooter. The Edge is equipped with remote fuel lid and the seat opener for convenient refueling. The Edge is also featured with a 'service due' indicator to remind you about its servicing, Immobilizer and a side-stand indicator to make you aware when you forget to put the side-stand up. Engine & Transmission:
The Maestro Edge is powered with a completely Hero developed engine. It has 110.9cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine with CVT automatic transmission which helps to get a power of 8.31 bhp @8,000 rpm, and torque of 8.3 nm @6,500 rpm. However, the current Maestro produces 8.2 PS of power and 9.1 Nm of torque from its Honda driven technology. It is Hero's first attempt to power a scooter with its indigenous developed engine. Hero has kept the same engine of Maestro Edge to power Hero Duet.
Mileage and Competition:
In a mileage sensitive market like ours the Hero Maestro Edge is claimed to have a class leading fuel efficiency of 65.8 kmpl which is 5.8 kmpl more than the Current Maestro. The Edge has a top speed of 85 kmph (claimed).

Hero MotoCorp has recently launched Maestro Edge with an ex-showroom (Delhi) price of Rs 49,500 for the LX variant and Rs 50,700 for the VX. Hero also unveiled Hero Duet which is expected to launch soon. Hero Maestro Edge will be sold along with the Maestro which is currently on sale. So what makes Maestro Edge different from the Maestro?
