New 2016 TVS Victor- Overview

TVS Motor has revived their once very popular brand “Victor” by re-launching the 110cc Victor along with very promising TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The 2016 Victor carries the baton of TVS and it has been placed right between TVS Star City and TVS Phoenix.

Design & Style

The all new TVS Victor is a very stylish commuter and the build quality oozes out from the every detailing of the bike. Be it the immaculate paint finish or the almost perfect design lines, the new Victor looks top notch and certainly looks more than an entry level commuter. The angular headlamp of new TVS Victor carries the aggressive stance and it is also featured with class leading 60W high intensity lamp. The sharp lines of the Victor flow evenly from headlight to the tail assembly. The best in segment spacious seat of Victor fits well on the contoured body of the bike, the perforated and anti-slip fabric is used with red colored piping adds to the class and comfort.

Engine & Performance TVS has used the same 109.7cc engine as base for the development of the mill used in new Victor. The 109.7 cc air cooled engine is now boast with 3- valve setup for more rev happy character of the bike. The engine now not only revs more freely than before but also returns claimed fuel efficiency of 76 Kmpl. The 3-valve featured ecothrust 109.7cc TVS engine is now churns out 9.6 PS @7500 rpm and 9.4 Nm @6000 rpm of power and torque respectively.

Brakes & Tyres The new TVS Victor is equipped with TVS tyres but this time they are tubeless in nature. Although, the profile of the tyre remains same as featured on TVS Star City but inclusion of tubeless is a certain value addition. The new Victor is featured with optional front petal disc brake and there is bigger 240mm petal disc is given for better braking abilities. However, the base version of Victor has 110mm drum brakes featured at the rear wheel and 130mm drum brakes at front. The Victor is suspended on front telescopic fork and there is 5- step adjustable Series Spring twin suspension featured at rear. TVS has also given the rectangular box swingarm for better stability and control on the new Victor.

Price & Colors The 2016 Victor is priced at very competitive Rs 49,490 for drum brake version and Rs 51,490 for disc brake version, both (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The new TVS Victor is available six vibrant colors- Blissful Blue, Restful Red, Serene Silver, Generous Grey, Balanced Black Red and Beatific Black Silver.

I love the TVS Apache RTR 200, especially its race spec, 2.0 model. The bike is smooth, grunty and lightweight for all intents and purposes. The highway stability of the bike is also really good, thanks to the 37 mm forks. The top speed of this bike is around 130 km/h on a good day but a guy has managed to take it beyond 150 km/h in his top speed test. You can see the video-
