Kawasaki Eliminator” to India. The Eliminator was probably the first affordable true cruiser of its time launched in India followed by “Yamaha Enticer”. The brilliant product of its time was soon adapted by its Indian partner and launched as “Avenger” in 2007 with the 200cc Dtsi engine shared from the Pulsar series of motorbikes. The Avenger remains same for all those years except for the time to time engine updations it received; the Avenger 220 launched in 2010 with the 220cc oil-cooled engine of Pulsar 220F.
The success of the brand Avenger can be understood by the limited alterations it received over the period of time, it was liked by many in its original attire and that carried for a very long time until the Avenger received major changes not only on the engine platform but also on its overall character. Bajaj recently introduced new Avenger in three variants- Avenger Cruise, Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Street 150. Out of the three the Avenger Cruise is essentially the good old Avenger with updates received on the forefront of the styling, branding and the ergonomics.

The engine is mated to 5 speed gear transmission and the power transmitted to the rear wheel through chain drive. The engine is featured with 2 valves and 2 sparkplugs Dtsi setup, the cranking of the engine is done through electric motor only and the engine is devoid of the kick starter.
