The Q2 started off with pretty much the same wet conditions like the previous session. Danilo Petrucci and Pol Espargaro laid the first stone, knowing the conditions very well coming from Q1. Soon Marquez proved why he is the king in Sachsenring, by going on top with a lead. Meanwhile the Yamaha boys Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales suffered a lot in those wet conditions, proving yet again that the 2017 YZR M1 isn't as quick in the wet as it was before.
Championship leader Andrea Dovizioso also suffered a lot with the feeling on his Desmosedici GP17 finishing the session at P10. At the end of the 15 minutes, Marc Marquez was untouchable at the top followed by Danilo Petrucci. Dani Pedrosa starts the race from the first row at P3. LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow leads the second row of the grid tomorrow followed by the top Yamaha Jonas Folger and Jorge Lorenzo at P6. Pol Espargaro made an impressive P7, proving the capability of the KTM RC16 and him as well.
Aleix Espargaro has also put his Aprilia in the top 10, as he starts from P8. Assen GP winner Valentino Rossi had a disastrous Qualifying as he starts from P9 for the race tomorrow. Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Viñales start from P10 and P11 respectively. The MotoGP race goes live tomorrow from the Sachsenring circuit in Germany at 5.30PM IST. We hope the race gets much fierce in Deutschland, owing to a tight battle in the Championship standings. Meanwhile, stay tuned to BikesMedia for further updates on the 2017 MotoGP World Championship.
