After all speculations coming to an end, finally it is confirmed that Yamaha is going to bring the elder sibling R3 in India and not R25. The twin cylinder 320cc YZF-R3 will be launched somewhere in August, that is next month. The bike will be brought here in India via CKD route all the way from Indonesia, which is the only country where the production of Yamaha YZF-R3 is taking place. As per a report from Topgear the bikes will be assembled in Yamaha's Indian facility and therefore, the rumors of manufacturing the bike in India has put to an end. In Indonesia Yamaha has already launched the naked version of R25 by the brand name MT-25, and was also speculated that the same would be done by Yamaha here in India. Since the company is going to launch R3, the report suggests that Yamaha would launch the naked version of R3 in India by the name; MT-320. If report is to be believed Yamaha would showcase the naked MT-320 in the upcoming Auto Expo in February'16 and the launch can be expected very next month, that is March'16.
However, the Yamaha R3 is reportedly going to be launched next month August, the dates are yet to be finalized. The R3 will be available in three different colors- Red, Blue and Black, the ABS would also be available as option. The pricing of Yamaha R3 is something which is still remain a mystery and we all expect it to be priced very prudently by Yamaha India to fetch the maximum benefit of the competition.
