As per the spy pictures, it's an “Adventure Tourer” as few months ago company has also registered the name "Himlayan" hinting an Adventure Motorcycle. Coming to Specifications:-
1. Royal Enfield Himalayan will likely to carry a new 410cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, overhead cam engine. The engine is expected to churn out above Continental GT's 535cc engine which is more than 30ps & torque output at 38-40NM.
2. The image also reveal incorporation of a Monoshock absorber, which will be first for any Royal Enfield. The wheelbase is also elongated as the box shaped swingarm is apparently longer than before.
3. The rear tyre also seems wider & larger than any other Royal Enfield family's model, there is also disc brake featured on the rear wheel.
4. The front is featured with round chrome studded headlamp but the meter console is not mounted and it is expected to get a single round instrument console as on Harley Davidson Street 750 and ours own Bajaj Avenger. The handlebar is one piece and is also perfectly raised above for comfortable adventurous ride.
5. If you look at the front telescopic shock-absorber carefully you will find the extra long bottles for longer travel.
