We had speculated a rather semi faired version of Gixxer in our previous post but Suzuki has surprised all of us by betting on a full faired version of the Gixxer 150. The bike seen in a disguised manner has many things in common with its naked cousin; the seat, tank, exhaust, front suspension and the front disc of the brake all confirming the platform sharing of the flagship 150cc motorcycle of Suzuki.
However the fairing along with the headlight seems to be inspired by the Hayabusa, the full fairing is actually complimenting the bulbous body of the Gixxer and giving it a big bike feel. The full faired Gixxer is appeared right after the News of Inazuma 250 discontinuation. The bike is taken as Suzuki's answer to the Yamaha's Fazer 150 rather than the R15. Keeping the performance aside the Full faired Gixxer 150 will give a decent fight to its much performance oriented competitors like Honda CBR 150R.
The bike will be featured with same 154.9cc air cooled engine which churns out 14.8Ps of power and 14Nm of torque. It is expected that Suzuki might tweak the performance of the bike keeping the additional wait of the fairing into consideration and the overall image of the bike. It is also expected to be priced at Rs 85000 (Ex- showroom, Delhi) which is a very competitive figure for a full faired bike in a country obsessed for full faired motorcycles. The launch of the bike is expected to be somewhere in the middle of next year.
