Post Highlights:
The ABS is a dual channel unit and besides an ‘ABS’ sticker on the new model, there is no mechanical change on the new bikes. The Thunderbird 350X is still powered by a 349cc twin-spark engine which produces 19.8 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque. The 500X uses a 499cc twin-spark fuel injected engine, which generates 27.2 BHP of power and 41.3 Nm of torque. Both models have a strong low down torque but lack a smooth top end. Hence beyond the speed of 80 or 100 km/h, the bikes struggle a lot.
The engine is not refined and offers a jerky ride, even in the fuel injected 500X variant. The ‘Long Stroke’ motor is not counterbalanced and hence offers a very shaky ride at high speeds.
