Regal Raptor Motorcycles owned by a Chinese Lifeng Group has launched Cruiser range of motorbikes in 300cc class. The two wheeler group has undergone a tie up with Hyadarabad based Fabulous-And-Beyond (FAB) group. The sales and service of the entire product line up will be taken care by the Indian subsidiary. In a launch event the FAB Regal Raptor launched three products from their 320cc twin cylinder engine lineup. There are Cruiser 350 (Rs 2.96 lacs), Bobber (Rs 3.22 lacs) and Daytona (Rs 3.33 lacs). All the three models will be imported as CBU and will be available at the exclusive showrooms across the country. Hyderabad is the first to have these bikes available for sale and later as per the company's plan there will be more outlets opened in different cities.
All the three Cruiser models launched will have same 320cc parallel twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The mill is capable of producing 23.1 Ps of power at 8500 Rpm and 22 Nm of torque figure at 6500 Rpm, it is mated to 6 speed transmission gear. The bike can be booked by paying Rs 50000 but you have to wait for 3 months as there is a waiting period for the same time.FAB and Regal Raptor will soon start indigenous facility by investing Rs 1000 Crores in Telangana, it is then they will start bringing these bikes via CKD route and will assemble them locally. Initially they have brought 320cc bikes and after establishing their own facility, other bikes in higher cubic capacity will also follow.
Priced at Rs 3 lacs and with a tag of a Chinese brand it is to be seen how these bikes are gonna do in a price sensitive market like ours. Styling is a department where these bikes might get an edge over other competition but after sale service and over all quality of the brand will be act decisive. By: Farhan Kashif
