Yamaha Motor India has recently launched the Version 2.0 of its FZ series bikes by replacing the 153cc engine with newly developed 149cc engine, this only step of Yamaha was enough to create the controversy, as the bike lovers never expected such move from performance oriented company. However Yamaha has claimed better performance from the new reduced size engine with the help of new technology incorporated by Yamaha, the officials claimed that with the help of "Blue Core tech" and the Fuel Injection System the new engine is capable of delivering the great mileage with the increased performance.
The new Yamaha FZ and FZ-S V2.0 is available at the price tag of Rs.76,250 and Rs.78,250 respectively (both EX-showroom Delhi).The new Version 2.0 FZs are pitched against the TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda CB Trigger, Hero Xtreme, the upcoming Suzuki Gixxer 150 and Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS.
