Both naked Duke 250 and faired track oriented RC 250 is featured with new 250cc single cylinder, liquid cooled engine. The engine is not a bored out 200cc KTM engine that is being used in the current Duke and RC series bikes, rather than it is actually a 373.2cc engine milled for 250 cubic capacity with all existing features of current breed of 373.2cc engine along with ABS. The 250cc engine is said to produce impressive 31 Ps of power at 9000 Rpm and a torque figure of 24 Nm at 7250 Rpm. The new engine helps the bike to attain best in class Power to weight ratio. Both the bikes must be manufactured in India therefore it is highly likely that we could get these beauties first in our country. Although there is nothing declared by the company about the launch and the pricing of the bikes but KTM have done a brilliant job by bridging the gap between 200cc and 390cc and offering a product with class leading figures and features both. Now when we are going to receive a 250cc Duke and RC one question arises- can we expect a Pulsar 250 NS/SS in the near future with around 28.29 Bhp ?? Source: Moto.it
