Advpulse" KTM have denied any such development. According to the official statement given by the KTM's PR representative from Austria they don't have any plans to develop KTM 390 Adventure model based on Duke's 390 platform as Duke's platform is made to support the Naked as well as Faired versions but it is not apt for the Adventure purpose.
Although KTM has denied the 390 Adventure they have not disaffirm the future prospects of low displacement adventure model. KTM will bring its Adventure bikes in low displacements but they will be based on the new platform specially designed for Adventure purpose. KTM have already tasted the global success with Made in India Duke bikes, they are also relishing the cost effectiveness by producing bikes in India. India being one of the fastest growing 2-wheeler market of the World has potential to grow with further more speed and KTM knows how to en-cash the opportunity. As there is no alternative bike available for Touring, we use our own Royal Enfield Motorcycles out of compulsion. If KTM introduces its entry level Adventure sportbikes in India it would kick-start a new segment all together. KTM is known for its off roading capabilities across the World, there is absolutely no doubt about its reliability and now being made in India they have perfect chance establishing itself as alternate for the Royal Enfield bikes used for touring purpose in our country.
We are eagerly waiting for a reliable, durable and value for money exclusive touring bike in 300-500cc adventure segment by KTM.
