Kawasaki is all set to launch the Versys 650 (the younger sibling of the Versys 1000) here in India on 24th December 2015 i.e. tomorrow. Sharing the engine of the Kawasaki Ninja 650, the Versys 650 engine is tuned for a better low and mid-range torque delivery. The Versys 650 is more of a adventure sports touring motorcycle. The Versys 650 is renowned all over the world for it's versatility, easy handling and a good performance, in fact the name itself "Versys" is derived from the words "versatile" and "system".
The Versys 650 is powered by the same four-stroke liquid-cooled fuel-injected 649cc parallel-twin engine that is being used in the Ninja 650 and ER-6N which are already on sale in India. The engine makes a maximum power of 68bhp @ 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 64Nm @7000rpm. As said above, the engine has been tuned for better bottom end power delivery and a healthy low and mid-range torque.
Features wise, the bike will feature dual headlamps, adjustable windscreen, larger fuel tank and LED tail lights. The bike will get ABS as standard. Coming to the dimensions, the bike has a wheelbase of 1414mm, length of 2154mm, width of 840mm and height of 1397mm. The ground clearance is 170mm.
