Motorcyclenews.com” was the first to report this exciting news. According to them, the bike will feature a liquid cooled single cylinder 125 cc engine. We think that it will most likely be a fuel injected motor. According to the MCN, the bike will produce 14.6 BHP of power. Judging by any standard, this amount of juice is enough for a 125 cc motorcycle.
Currently, the Kawasaki makes only the Z125 (PRO, PRO KRT and PRO-SE), which is in a direct competition to Honda Grom. So much so, that it is basically just a kids bike with taller seat height. The new 2019 Z125 is different from its 2018 version in a lot of ways. First off, the bike uses an exposed Trellis frame, which makes the little bike looks tough and it is in a competition with Duke 125 and not Honda Grom. It also gets proper “Z” series styling and 17-inch wheels at both ends. No longer the Z125 is a bike which will hit your knees with its handle if you’re too tall. The exhaust is upswept, footpegs are serrated, the suspension is thicker and the tank is bigger, at least it looks so.
Now, talking about the Ninja 125, the 2019 Ninja 125 uses the same headlight, frame, and the engine as the Z125. The paint scheme on the 125 cc Ninja is reminiscent of the Ninja 400. The wheels on this bike are also 17 inches at both ends.
I can’t see any ABS stickers on the mudguard but it will be available at the time of the launch as one can spot the ABS sensor ring clearly at the front disc brake. Speaking of launch, I am pretty sure, it won’t launch in India. "Why," you ask? Well, I will have to explain it in a separate article altogether, so until then Ciao.
