Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) joins hands with Shriram Automall India Ltd. (SAMIL) to cater the pre-owned 2-wheeler market of India. Uptil now Honda was the pioneer in addressing pre-owned two wheelers through their "Best Deal" outlets. But at the widely spread 60 Best Deal outlets across 11 states have only facility to exchange pre-owned Honda two wheelers.Now, with the newly signed MOU the partners will work together to cater not only Honda pre-owned 2-wheelers but also two wheelers from other brands. As per the joint venture Honda will as usual take care of the the pre-owned two wheelers of their marquee and will pass on to them to the used vehicle buyers with refurbishment & certification. Whereas SAMIL will cater all the 2-wheelers from other manufacturers.
Basically, Honda is aiming the "one stop solution" for their customers with this tie up. Now customers will get facility to exchange their old-used vehicle of any brand at the Honda's outlet with the two wheeler of their choice for the maximum value of their used vehicle. By the use of methodical process of valuation of the pre owned 2-wheelers now the sellers not only get the maximum value for their old two wheeler but the buyers of those pre-owned vehicles will also have multiple purchase options.
For the customers who are interested in bulk purchase of these pre-owned two wheelers, SAMIL will conduct online & offline bidding, where the customers will be allowed to inspect the lot prior making the bidding. All n all it is a very appreciating effort from these two companies to consolidate the highly unorganized market of pre-owned 2-wheelers in India.
