Team BikesIndia was present at the event, where the President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd- Keita Muramatsu and Senior Vice President– Y. S. Guleria were also present. In a conversation with BI, when asked about the launch of CBR 300R in India, Guleria said that "We will reach to CBR 300R gradually as we are bringing many new products to India". He further added that "We have already fulfilled our promise to launch 15 products in this calendar year. Apart from showcasing the all new Hornet and updated CBR250R and 150R we have also given you the glimpse of the last product in the list".
As the list of the product launch scheduled for this year is almost completed and even the first look of the last product from the array is also been revealed, the awaited CBR 300R with dual headlights and a heavy resemblance to the flagship “FireBlade” is certainly not coming to India at least this year. When we asked Guleria about the prospects of recently showcased Honda’s twin cylinder Adventure motorcycle “Africa Twin” for India, he replied: “We need to let the market for the Adventure motorsport grow in India first”. So, amidst Royal Enfield is going to come up with its first and indigenously build adventure bike- Himalayan, Honda is not in a mood to bring any such adventure model for Indian market.
