Coming to the other scooter, Hero Maestro, the Maestro is another 110cc scooter from Hero but both the scooters are totally different from each other. Firstly, the Hero Dash features a new 110cc four stroke engine that has been manufactured by Hero and Honda has no role in it. This four stroke engine produces more power and torque than that of Maestro. The Dash will also offer a lot of new features, making it more attractive than the Maestro. Though these scooters are apart from each other and the Dash is better than Maestro in almost every aspect, Hero might choose to price it at par with the Maestro. Now you might wonder why Hero is doing this, well one of the answer is that the Maestro is nothing but a Honda Activa 110 in different clothes. So, ya what if it is? Hero has signed an agreement with Honda that they will continue to sell two wheelers with their technology until October 2017, obviously Hero has to pay royalty for the Maestro to Honda. And in order to avoid this and make the Dash stand on it's own, Hero might choose to price it at par with the Maestro, the Dash might take up some time to achieve it. Hence, eventually Hero would want the Dash to fair better than the Maestro, so that will reduce the cost of royalty.
Meanwhile, the company will also launch many motorcycles and scooters in multiple segments too. Hero has tied up with many international technology providers such as AVL Austria, Engines Engineering and Ricardo to produce a range of new engines for their upcoming motorcycles and scooters.
