Harley Davidson Motorcycles has revealed their upcoming model from the Sportster category; they have named the new model as ‘Roadster’. The bike has striking similarity with the HD model Forty Eight, it resembles to the model Forty Eight so much so that it is difficult to differentiate between the two at a first glance. In fact the fuel tank design of the new HD Roadster is borrowed from the elder sibling along with other design ques. The new Roadster is equipped with 1200cc V-twin engine which is mated to 5-speed transmission gear. As far as design elements of the new Roadster are concerned, as it is already mentioned above that it is heavily influenced from its elder sibling- Forty Eight. However, apart from the same capacity engine and drive train the new Roadster is shod with slim profile 19 Inch front tyre, which clearly differentiates it from the Forty Eight that is characterized by its fat 16 inch front tyre.
The new Harley Davidson Roadster comes equipped with front USD (Upside Down) suspensions mated to dual front disc brakes. Both the fenders are chopped off and it gives a bobber look to the new Roadster. The new bike is also featured with flat and stubby handle bar which adds to the roadster image of the new bike. It is expected that Harley will launch the new bike later this year and we will be able to see the HD Roadster here in India soon after its global launch.
