BMW Motorrad has launched the R nineT classic boxer motorcycle in India. The bike is featured with the 1170cc oil cooled, twin cylinder boxer engine. BMW has given this awkward name to the roadster as BMW is commemorating its 90 years of business and dedicates the new bike to its glorious history. BMW will bring the new R nineT via CBU route in India and the bike will be sold through all dealerships of BMW across the country. The BMW R nineT will be available at the price tag of Rs 23.5 Lacs (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
BMW Motorrad has made the new R nineT highly customize-able bike. BMW is offering loads of options to customize the bike, the cafe' racer R nineT can now be painted in customized glossy paint finish, the pillion seat is also removable and the bike can also be fitted with Akrapovic exhausts system fitted by the BMW.
As any other modern BMW bikes, the R nine T is also equipped with the ABS as standard with dual disc brakes at the front and single disc at the rear. To give the perfect retro look to the bike and make the bike more special BMW even handcrafted majority of the body parts. BMW claims that it is due to this reason and the options available for customization the new R nineT is on the expensive side.
