You read it first on BikesIndia, Bajaj has replaced the Modi Continental tyres with Europgrip tyres from their newly launched Platina 100 ES. When we did the Test Ride Review of new Platina 100 ES we had pointed out this as a minus point of an otherwise good motorcycle with class leading fuel economy. Bajaj has shown the generosity and considered to replace the comparatively sub standard Modi Continental tyres with the "Eurogrip Tyres".
Apart from the initial lot of the 2015 Platina 100 ES, now the rest of the lot has received the Eurogrip tyres. On the condition of keeping anonymity, one of the prominent Bajaj Dealers of Central India has told BikesIndia that they are actually replacing the tyres of those customers who have new Platina 100 ES from the initial batch, if they are complaining or otherwise wish to replace their bike tyres with Eurogrip tyres.
Even though the Eurogrip tyres are not particularity favorites of the new generation of bikers but at least they are better than Modi Continental Tyres. However, the reason best known by Bajaj, it is still unpalatable why they have put those tyres on their latest offering which has every other aspect with improved quality apart from those tyres. Anyways, by setting up an example Bajaj has rectified that mistake as soon as they realized it and now a good product has become even better.By: Farhan Kashif
