Year after year the the popularity of Auto Expo is growing but now it seems the average cost of displaying the upcoming models are so high that some of big brands like Bajaj Auto, Harley-Davidson, Royal Enfield, Skoda Auto, Volvo, Volvo Cars and Daimler decided to not to participate in the auto show. In an average it costs around Rs 5-15 crore for a week-long event, the cost depends on floor space taken by automobile manufacturers. Some Automobile manufacturers have decided to invest the cost towards product development and marketing rather than displaying their products in Auto Expo.
Even though some brands will miss Auto Expo but it seems this is not going to effect too much as the organizers have confirmed that the entire floor space has been sold out. This time Auto Expo is covering more space of around 7,000 square meters than before, it proves the popularity that Auto Expo gained. We know it's very disappointing for the automobile lovers to know about the news but even we think that the cost is too high. We are surely going to miss a piece of cake without these leading brands participating.
What do you think about the bold steps taken by these leading automakers? Do you think that it is more important to focus on the product development & marketing rather than incurring the cost in displaying? Give your views on comment section.
