The Bengaluru based, E-scooter manufacturer, Ather Energy, rolled out three new subscription plans for their 450 and 340 series of scooters. The introduction of the new plan makes the scooter more accessible and gives a level of flexibility to the customers. The company also made the use of Ather Grid, an e-vehicle charging station, free for its customers until 31 December 2019.
The new plans are named as Ather Connect, Ather Service and Ather Charge. Ather Connect is the base plan while the Ather Charge is the Charging focused plan. The Ather Service costs the same as the Ather Charge, but it swaps ‘Unlimited public charging’ at AtherGrid with ‘Roadside Assistance’. It is important to note that the flagship Ather One subscription is still available. It covers all the premium services that the company has on offer. However, The company made it clear that the offer of free Ather One subscription plan upon pre-ordering the scooter has been discontinued.
Ather Scooters were launched a few months ago with two models namely Ather 450 and 340. Both of them are equipped with a lithium-ion battery and qualify for several government subsidies. The on-road price of Ather 450 is Rs. 1,24,750 - while the Ather 340 has a price of Rs. 1,09,750/-
