The new Aprilia SR 150 has taken its design queue from the iconic Aprilia RSV4 super sport bike. The scooter is equipped with 154.4cc single cylinder air cooled engine borrowed from the Vespa 150. The mill is tuned to produce 11.4 Bhp of power and 11.5 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to auto transmission.
The Aprilia SR 150 is featured with rigid steel frame and it is suspended on front telescopic suspension and rear single hydraulic shock absorber. The braking duty has been done by front disc brake and rear drum brake. The new Aprilia is manufactured at the Piaggio’s Baramati facility in Maharashtra, apparently 90% of the spare parts have been procured locally, helping the company to bring down the manufacturing cost.
The Aprilia SR 150 is been priced at very lucrative Rs 65,000 (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and it is available in two colors- Red & White and Red & Black. The company will sell the motorcycle alike scooter- SR 150 through their Vespa and Motoplex outlets spread across the country. Delivery of the SR 150 will begin pretty soon; one can book the scooter through the official website of Aprilia India or PayTm.
