Here's the latest pictures of the upcoming 2016 Triumph Speed Triple caught at dealership ahead of it's official launch. We had already got some spy-shots of how the 2016 Speed might look like and these are by far the best pictures we have seen of a production ready Speed Triple that has been clicked at a Triumph Dealership somewhere in Europe.
Looking at the pictures, the 2016 Triumph Speed gets a differently shaped unique headlight as opposed to the present model and also with central air intake scoops in between the two headlights. While much of the details are still unknown, the visual changes we can see in the bike are the new radiator side panels and seat. In addition, the tank and belly panel also look new along with a revised exhaust. Furthermore, the split-seats on the new models look good and it seems like the R version gets carbon mudguards.
Rumours have said that the 2016 Speed Triple is expected to have an increase in power from 133hp to 140hp, though this was sent to the Speed Triple owners as part of a survey. The survey also suggested that the new bike might be more technically advanced with features including traction control, multiple engine modes and electronic throttle. Considering that some of these technical changes are already reflected on the all new Bonneville range, it seems like the Speed Triple will surely be getting these. The bike will be available in two variants, Triumph Speed Triple S and Triumph Speed Triple R. The bike's suspension duties are handled by Showa unit for the Triple S while the Triple R gets the high-spec Ohlins suspension. The brakes, however, are made by Brembo.
We can expect the updated 2016 Speed Triple duos in our country somewhere around mid of next year. So finally, tell us what you think about the new updated Speed Triple models and stay tuned to BikesIndia as we will bring you the complete specification of the same.
