Yamaha India Motorcycles have updated their official website silently with the latest 2015 YZF-R1 and R1M super sportbikes. These bikes are now officially sold by Yamaha through their selected outlets and you can get the class leading bikes starting from Rs 22,34,300 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha has updated the Indian product lineup with these two variants of their super sportbike models, which are doing exceptionally good in other markets.The 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 is equipped with 998cc inline-4 cylinder engine producing 200 Ps of power at 13500 Rpm and 112.4 Nm of Torque at 11500 Rpm. The 2015 R1 is equipped with the crossplane crankshaft with uneven firing sequence. The mill is mated to 6-speed transmission gear and tips to the scale at only 199 kgs with fuel and oil on board. The 2015 YZF-R1 is available in two colors- Racing Blue and Racing Red.
Yamaha has also added the so called track version of the YZF R1-M in their Indian fleet, the "M" version of R1 shares same engine with the road spec 2015 R1 including the performance figure. But Yamaha has offered best in class electronic gadgetry on board at YZF-R1M. The electronics include; Electronic Racing suspension (ERS), Communication Control Unit (CCU), 6-Axis Inertial measurement Unit (IMU), Rear wheel Slide Control System (SCS), Traction Control System (TCS), Launch Control System (LCS) and Quick Shift System (QSS). You can get the Carbon bodied 2015 YZF-R1M at a price tag of Rs 29,43,100 (E-showroom, Delhi). The R1M comes in only one color- Silver Blu Carbon.By: Farhan Kashif
