In India, the ZX-10R is available in KRT color scheme while the ZX-10RR is available in Matte black. The motorcycle is completely track focused with almost zero comfort for long highway rides. The seating and stance is outrageous for commuting in heavy traffic, and the stance asks the rider to twist the throttle. The front is occupied by dual headlight assembly and a large central air intake with DRL's on top of it. The body work is minimal with an aerodynamic design, while the rear end is sharp with an LED taillamp.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION : The ZX-10R siblings share a 998cc liquid cooled in line four engine that churns out a whopping 197 BHP at 13,000 RPM and 113.5 Nm of torque at 11,500 RPM. The engine can further make a 207 BHP at the same 13,000 RPM with RAM air intake. The ZX-10RR on the other hand gets an up/down quick shifter along with forged Marchesini wheels. The engine is fuel injected with a 6 speed manual transmission. The clutch is a wet multi plate unit with slip and assist. The ZX-10RR gets updated cooling system along with track focused gear ratios and a reinforced crank case.
ELECTRONICS :
The ZX-10R siblings come with superior electronic rider aid systems viz Bosch 5 axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Kawasaki Sports Traction Control system with 5 modes, power modes, Kawasaki Launch control system, Kawasaki engine braking system and ABS as standard. The motorcycle also gets ride by wire throttle system for superior response. The suspension on the ZX-10RR has electronic compression and rebound damping adjustments.
